The Boys Went Flying!

Saturday the family went to San Diego and participated in an amazing event put on by an organization called Challenge Air. The motivation behind this group is to eliminate the belief that special needs kids are limited and that they can do anything they want to. For a day, pilots donate their time, plane, and fuel to give special needs kids an opportunity to not only fly in a private plan but also the ability to fly it if they choose.

This flight day saw Ryder, Tyson and Bryan climbing into a small plane with a pilot and cruising the skies of San Diego. Our incredible pilot showed us the sights while explaining the plane and how it works. He offered Ryder the chance to take the yoke and fly it but Ryder wasn't quite ready yet.
